Delete your account.

You can leave momo whenever you want, and take your memories with you. Here is exactly how, and what happens next.

Delete in the app

The fastest way. It takes effect immediately.

1Open momo and go to the Us tab.
2Tap Account.
3Tap Delete account, type delete to confirm.

If you never finished pairing, you will find Delete account on the connect screen.

Request by email

Can't open the app anymore? Send us a request from the email address you signed up with. We verify it comes from that address, delete the account, and confirm within 30 days, usually much sooner.

This opens your email app with the request written for you. Nothing is sent from this page.

What gets deleted

Straight away

  • Your link with your partner ends. Neither of you can open the shared space anymore.
  • Your profile, sign-in identity, device keys and notification tokens.

After 30 days

  • Everything in your shared space: answers, notes, memories, photos, voice notes, countdowns, plans and the bucket list.
  • The 30 days give your partner a fair chance to export their copy. Then it is permanently erased, files included.

What we may keep

  • Crash reports, which never contain your content, expire after up to 90 days.
  • Records we are legally required to keep, if any. Today there are none, because momo has no payments.

Keep a copy first

Before deleting, you can save your shared space from Us, then Export our data. It downloads a file with your answers, memories, notes and plans. See the privacy policy for the details.
